Louie’s Bakery is a family-owned and operated business located in Marshall, Michigan. Louis Bagi established the business in November 1952. It is now run by his successors, with Jason LaForge, Louie’s grandson, the manager. Business has continued to thrive with the combined efforts of family members Ken, Dave, John and Lorraine, Louie’s sons and daughter. The bakery also employs several part-time clerks and baker’s assistants.
Although tastes vary, one of the more popular items in the store is the nut roll. Arguably, the nutty is the bakery’s best selling product. However if your tastes run different, you don’t have to worry! The bakery offers a variety of rolls, such as, baked cinnamon, fried cakes -ranging from plain, chocolate covered, glazed, cinnamon sugar, to powdered – jelly rolls, custard rolls, and cream-filled long johns. Other goods available for purchase include assorted breads, dinner rolls, cookies, and cakes. For your shopping convenience, the bakery also stocks coffee, soda pop, juice, and water to enjoy with your treats!
