Calhoun Co Genealogical Society February Meeting

Join the Calhoun County Genealogical Society on February 27th at 7PM for the program “DNA: Now What?” with presenter Ginger Ogilvie. This is part two of our two-part DNA series.

After we’ve found our ethnicity estimates and scanned for any surprise close relatives, many of us don’t really know what to do next with our DNA results. This list of people that we’ve never heard of could open the door to new family photos and inspirational stories, but how do we figure it out? This class will provide a practical list of “to-do’s,” including an introduction to third-party tools and a better understanding of how formulating targeted research questions can bring us to a deeper understanding of our genetic and genealogical inheritance.

This meeting will be held via Zoom, and a viewing group will be available at the Marshall District Library for those without a stable internet connection. The meeting could also be joined from a public computer at any local library, such as Willard. Please contact CCGS through Facebook or by email ([email protected]) for a Zoom link to the program. As always, our meetings are free and open to the public.
