MAEDA offers Jon Schallert workshop, Make Your Business a Consumer Destination

Join Marshall Area Economic Development Alliance (MAEDA) on January 10 for an exciting, free workshop led by Jon Schallert, Make Your Business a Consumer Destination.

The Destination Business process that Jon Schallert developed shows local businesses how to differentiate and market themselves as unique Destinations, rather than simply relying on the physical location or the demographics of the area to be successful.

The public is invited to this free workshop at the Franke Center for the Arts from 8:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. which includes an in-depth presentation by Jon Schallert, lunch provided by Schuler’s Restaurant, and a Business Roundtable Q&A session. As a bonus, Marshall Chamber members may sign-up for free, focused one-on-one consultations with Jon at the Marshall Welcome Center between 1:30-3:30 p.m.

Jon Schallert is an internationally-recognized professional speaker and business consultant specializing in teaching businesses how to turn themselves into Consumer destinations. Jon speaks to thousands annually on his proprietary 14-step “Destination Business” process.  His methodology has been used extensively by towns, cities, villages, downtowns, seasonal tourist locations, shopping centers, retail chains, franchises, and independent small business owners.

Prior to starting his own company, Jon spent ten years with greeting card giant Hallmark Cards, where his unique marketing strategies were publicized throughout the company as “The Schallert Method.” Some of Jon’s corporate consulting clients include Kellogg’s, KitchenAid, Bank of America, Denver International Airport, Jiffy Lube, Ace Hardware, Anheuser Busch, Kichler Lighting and Hunter Douglas, to name a few. His insights are frequently seen in national publications such as The Wall Street Journal, The Washington Post, USA Today, and Entrepreneur Magazine.

This program is made possible in part by grants from the Battle Creek Community Foundation and Cronin Foundation and the generous sponsorship of Schuler’s Restaurant.

Workshop space is limited, so RSVP now to the Marshall Welcome Center, 269-781-5163.

Marshall Chamber members may sign-up for the free one-on-one business consultations with Jon by contacting Jane Reid, 269-781-5163.
