We are so proud to be a small town that has a reputation of a tourist destination! With so many things to do here, our new slogan should be “Small but Mighty”.
Last year we saw several dozen bus tours and private groups who made a point to make Marshall their destination. We are already seeing bookings coming in this year and people are talking about how friendly this town is and what great events we put on! Here is just one of the comments made by one of our private groups who visited last October.
“Our visit to Marshall was better than any expected it would be. I heard wonderful comments from the 25 ladies that attended with many of them asking me to coordinate another trip next year! The Welcome Center saw a steady flow of individual visitors as well, looking for something fun to do, a place to buy that special something or just a delicious bite to eat, and they usually commented on how friendly and welcoming the town was.
We want to continue this trend so we are honing our skills with the latest trends in travel. Getting the word out about all the great museums, shops, eateries and events is one of those ways of enticing distant travelers to “Choose Marshall” for their precious leisure time and with the help of the local community we think we can do this!
