Tourism Funding Request

Choose Marshall may provide matching funds to Chamber Members who organize events and projects that promote tourism in Marshall.

This grant is meant to provide matching funds to Chamber Members who organize events and projects that promote tourism in Marshall.

Please submit your application with estimated costs. Do not purchase items you wish to be considered in this application without prior approval, Choose Marshall is unable to fund projects retroactively.

Choose Marshall/MAEDA will review each application and a staff member will contact you regarding a decision. Please allow adequate time for the process and review, generally 30 days. Requests will no longer be accepted after Marshall’s Tourism Grant budget has been exhausted for the fiscal year, July 1 to June 30.

Funding shall promote cultural vitality and tourism in Marshall by attracting visitors to our community. Events that increase overnight stays in Marshall hotels and/or promote downtown placemaking are a funding priority.

A cap of $1,500 is established per business, per year for this grant. Businesses must pay for half of the cost.

1. Date(s), time(s), and location of the event/activity.

2. How the requested money will be used. Please include a copy of your event budget, quotes, screenshots of online shopping carts, etc.

3. Where you will be advertising the event? Include advertising sources and geographic range of ads, along with any demographic information (if utilized).

4. Where do you anticipate participants and/or spectators to come from (geographically)?

5. Other information that will help Choose Marshall make a funding decision
