The Marshall Area Economic Development Alliance (MAEDA)/Choose Marshall held a ribbon cutting to welcome GreenStone Farm Credit Services as a new Choose Marshall Chamber member.
GreenStone Farm Credit Services is one of America’s largest rural lenders, with headquarters in East Lansing, Michigan. It owns and manages $13 billion in assets and serves over 28,000 members with 35 branches throughout Michigan and northeast Wisconsin.
GreenStone Farm Credit Services provides financial services to the agricultural industry, including short, intermediate, and long-term loans, equipment and building leases, life insurance, crop insurance, accounting, and tax services. It also specializes in residential and country home loans, and provides lending products for the purchase, improvement, construction, or refinance of residences along with financing future home sites and recreational land. Ben Hawes, a Financial Services Officer at GreenStone, spoke about the strengths and positives of the organization. “We are a relationship-based local lender, and our long-standing financial position allows us to provide customers with competitively priced loan products and related financial services. I am here to assist customers with all their financial needs.” He added, “GreenStone is a cooperative owned by the members it serves, which means members get to experience the benefits of that ownership. One significant value of the cooperative is the return of a portion of our annual earnings each year to our members in the form of Patronage.”
