Utility installation of new water supply infrastructure to start

Construction to support new water supply infrastructure will benefit the community and support the MAJOR Campus

Utility installation work begins in mid-February along several main corridors in the city of Marshall as well as Emmett and Marshall townships.

These are the first steps toward the creation of a new water supply infrastructure that will benefit the community and support the Marshall Area Jobs, Opportunities, and Recreation Campus (MAJOR).

An overview of the work area is shown below, with preliminary timeframes and enhanced views of the work areas. Shoulder closures and movable barricades will be in place in during working hours, 7 a.m. – 6 p.m. Monday – Friday. All residents of the Eden neighborhood will have access to their property and barricades will be removed at the end of each day.

With utility installation during the winter months, there could be inclement weather and ground freeze. In the interest of worker safety and ground damage minimization, these dates are approximate.
