What is up the stairs, you ask? Well, that is where local magic happens. Kat Whaley has two classrooms equipped to support all kinds of art projects and activities. She leads classes for the community, from kids in Pre-K to Adults. We also have a ceramics and glazing room, led by Betty Perkins, a favorite of our students.
There is the Wolff Gallery, where all of the kids’ art ends up in an exhibition every couple of months. (The current exhibit, starting January 28 is “Through Van Gogh’s Eyes”.)

If you want to have your own art party, then we can host that for you. You can even book an event online, here.

And on the third floor you will find our premier space for events. The historic Wagner Ballroom, Marshall’s original dance hall from 1870 to 1910, is currently taking bookings for your next event. Our charming space features a hand-painted grand staircase, ballroom, grand foyer, on site restroom facilities, catering room, and elevator for accessibility.

Booked and managed by Jessica Lounds, Corporate and Private Events at the Wagner Ballroom have a dinner seating capacity of 120 or up to 175 standing. Included in the rental fee is staff supervision for the duration of your event and set-up and configuration of the ballroom. You can see the 2025 Prices at our web site Eastendart.org.

Eastend Studio & Gallery staff are avid community leaders, who have helped Marshall build a successful downtown where folks gather at Eastend-sponsored events such as the Bewitched Ball, Holiday Market and Santa’s Workshop. And all of this couldn’t happen without the community’s support in the form of sponsorship, donations and volunteers.
