The Marshall Christmas Parade is set to dazzle the community once again as it celebrates its 60th anniversary with the theme “SPARKLING SPLENDOR: OUR DIAMOND ANNIVERSARY CHRISTMAS.”
2024 Christmas Parade
Kick off the holidays with one of Marshall's most beloved events, the Annual Christmas Parade.
All ages love grabbing a hot cup of cocoa and watching the dazzling lights, floats, marching bands, fire trucks, horses and much more, including the jolly old man himself – Santa Claus! The parade is always scheduled for the Monday evening after Thanksgiving, and begins at 7pm.
This year's theme is “SPARKLING SPLENDOR: OUR DIAMOND ANNIVERSARY CHRISTMAS.”
This year’s parade will take place on Monday, December 2nd at 7pm in downtown Marshall.
The Marshall Christmas Parade has been a cherished family tradition for 60 years, bringing together family and friends to enjoy the sights and sounds of the season. According to Jennifer Conley Darling, one of the coordinators and long-time Marshall resident, “For many of us, this event marks the beginning of the holiday. It’s fun to see people of all ages lined up downtown. No matter the weather, people show up!” Darling adds, “I have so many memories of this event from growing up here, and I’m honored to be part of the team pulling it together this year.”
Interestingly, the last few years the livestream of the event has attracted around 20,000 viewers from around the world of people who used to be residents and have moved, who have grandchildren or other friends and relatives in the parade, or just love the small town feel of the event. The parade is one of the largest and most popular in West Michigan.
As always, the parade will feature favorite local marching bands, stunning floats, and a special visit from Santa Claus to welcome the holiday season!
