Kick off the holidays with one of Marshall's most beloved events, the Annual Christmas Parade.
Marshall Parade Rules & Information
Thank you for participating in the Marshall Christmas Parade! Line up begins at 5:30pm, all entries need to be in place by 6:30pm.
Parade Rules
- All entries MUST be decorated for the holidays and be WELL LIGHTED. Normal vehicle lights and/or headlights do not count towards lighting your vehicle. If your vehicle is not decorated, or only has minimal lights, you will not be allowed entry in the parade.
- NEW THIS YEAR, NO CANDY CAN BE THROWN FROM VEHICLES. For safety reasons, bystanders on Michigan Avenue will be behind barricades and candy must be passed out by WALKERS, while walking along the barricade. Walkers will be responsible for keeping people behind the barricades by not passing candy to anyone who has crossed this barrier. Violaters may be removed from the parade.
- Santa is not allowed on any entry!
- Gun shots and cannons are not allowed. Live fire/flames are allowed only with special permission.
- We have over 100 parade entries so we need to keep the parade moving at a steady, smooth rate. All participants are required to keep pace and minimize gaps between entries.
The Marshall Christmas Parade is set to dazzle the community once again as it celebrates its 60th anniversary with the theme “SPARKLING SPLENDOR: OUR DIAMOND ANNIVERSARY CHRISTMAS.”
Do you know someone who would be the best person to lead the Christmas Parade? Nominate them to be the Grand Marshal!
