Location: Brooks Nature Area, Stuart Lake Rd

Parking: Please reserve the main parking area for those with mobility needs. There will be additional parking north of the main parking lot as long as the ground is frozen and if needed, along the roadway. Carpooling is strongly encouraged!

Join us for an opportunity to see Brooks Nature Area in a different light. For one evening only, 1.5 miles of BNA’s main trail will be lined with luminaries for visitors to catch a glimpse of nature at dusk. This is a quiet time of year when the trees lay bare or covered in snow, the darkness giving extra hours of rest for all creatures alike. We encourage all to mindfully observe nature at night along the trail.

This is not a guided hike so come and go as you’d like!

Wear comfortable walking shoes and bring a buddy or walking stick should you need extra support. Feel welcomed to bring a headlamp, flashlight or lantern if you’d like additional walking light.

Please note: Bathrooms will not be open during the hike. Event will be cancelled in the event of rain and other weather challenges.
