15th Annual Blues Festival was music to our ears!

The 15th Annual Marshall Blues Festival was once again a hit with locals and visitors alike. This year drew record crowds despite the chance of uncooperative weather.  The music was on point with Fest favorites Who Dat? and Danae and the Grind, along with the sultry sounds of the Marci Linn Band and smoking riffs from the Luke Repass Band.  The night only got hotter once headliner Big Al and the Heavyweights took the stage.

A variety of vendors featured treats to suit every taste–from saucy barbecue, tangy Greek food, and fragrant kettle corn to carnival favorites. Grand River Brewery also was on site, showcasing some delectable food and beers.

This annual event, which draws thousands of music lovers to downtown Marshall each summer, would not be possible without an army of organizers, volunteers, vendors and generous sponsors. The Marshall Area Economic Development Alliance, Marshall Downtown Development Authority and City of Marshall extend a heartfelt thank you to all those involved.

Generous event sponsors include: Oaklawn Hospital, Eaton Corporation, BluFish Consulting, Dark Horse Brewing Co., Dan Henry Distributing, Chemical Bank, Walters-Dimmick Petroleum, Tenneco Automotive, Boshears Ford, Marshall Community Credit Union, Schuler’s Restaurant, Stelmi America, Kellogg Community Credit Union, ITC Holdings, Calhoun County Visitors Bureau, Marshall Animal Care Center, Southern Michigan Bank and Trust, Craig K.
