Days are longer, nights are warmer. What better time than now to plan a night on the town. Every adult deserves some time to play so we’ve put together a list of ideas for you to enjoy. See you soon for some fun.

Cornwell’s Comedy Night
Cornwell’s invites you to Wednesday Night Comedy Night on April 5, 2017. Matt Hold has been making people laugh most of his life. He displays a quick-wit and razor-sharp delivery along with a very laid back and conversational style on stage. Kevin Cahak will also entertain you with his humor. He has been described as “one part tongue twister, one part poetry and one part hilarious!”

Come to Cornwell’s Turkeyville on Wednesday, April 5, 2017 at 7 – 9 p.m. The cost is $10…that’s about ½ a cent per laugh. What a deal.

Dr. Zhivago at The Franke Center
The movie, Dr. Zhivago, is a 1965 British-Italian epic romantic drama film set in Russia between the years prior to WWI and the Russian Civil War of 1917-1922. The story is based on the Boris Pasternak novel of the same name. Dr. Zhivago is considered a “classic” and a “must-see” by movie aficionados. Come to The Franke Center on Saturday, April 8, 2017, at 7 p.m. Doors open at 6 p.m. Cost is $10.

This event is a fundraiser for The Franke Center for the Arts. During intermission, raffles and auction items will be offered along with delightful hors d’oeuvres and desserts. Contact 269.781.0001 for reservations.

Backroads Saloon
Check out the fun at the Backroads Saloon 15325 West Michigan Avenue in Marshall during the month of April. Dance lessons are offered every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday evenings from 6-7 p.m. On Friday and Saturday evenings dance lessons are 7-8 p.m. Lessons are $5. Call 269.781.7091 for more information. On Fridays and Saturdays stay the whole evening to dance the night away.

Bogar Theatre Movie Night
April at the Bogar Theatre has the final movie in the series of The Fast and the Furious. The series finale is the thriller, The Fate and the Furious. Call the Bogar at 269.781.3711. Remember, each Monday is free popcorn night, so bring your own container and for adults only, beer and wine are served daily.

Dark Horse Brewing Company
Anytime is a good time to visit all that Dark Horse Brewing Company has to offer. You can start your morning with coffee at Dark Horse Roasting Company and Coffee House and a pastry from Dark Horse Commons. Lunch at Dark Horse Brewing Company and enjoy a hearty sandwich or freshly made pizza. Don’t forget the selection of craft beers made right on site.

When that sweet tooth gets to you, visit Dark Horse Creamery Company for homemade ice cream and Dark Horse Candy Company for mouth-watering candy all made there.

Marshall’s All Things Vintage Market and Camper Show
Do you have a collection of treasures that gather dust, but you can’t manage to get rid of them? Come to the vintage market and find vendors who take one man’s trash, repurpose it and give it new life and turn it into treasures you cannot live without.

The Calhoun County Fairgrounds at 720 Fair Street in Marshall will be the place for you. On Sunday, April 23, 2017, the fairground is hosting a vintage market and camper show. The vendors are excited to sell their products and where else could you find such great ideas to repurpose your own treasures.
