Alice & Giles is an antique store filled with a wide and beautiful selection of art, textiles, ephemera, and curiosities. Store owner, Bob Hefferan, who opened the store in 2023 and named it in honor of his parents, has creatively merchandised the store with carefully curated vintage items. When designing the store concept, Hefferan wanted to create a distinctive space that speaks to his creative sense of decorating and design. It is apparent that he has a talent for creating delightful visual displays. Hefferan commented, “I would like my customers to feel the creative style and energy that I live by and embrace the quirkiness and uniqueness of the items I sell. I hope to inspire people and show them how fun it can be to decorate a space with interesting and one-of-a kind vintage items that speak to their individual style!”
A professional picture framer for 52 years, Hefferan is still in the framing business in Grand Rapids but is very pleased to have moved to Marshall and opened a shop downtown. “I love being a part of this vibrant community and all that it has to offer!”
Alice & Giles is located at 209 West Michigan Ave in downtown Marshall. The store is open Thursday through Sunday 11am-5pm. Contact Hefferan at 616.446.7492 or on Facebook.
