Congressman Tim Walberg is currently serving his eighth term in Congress as a representative of southern Michigan. Since January of 2023, Tim has represented Michigan’s new 5th district, which includes a diverse constituency across portions of 10 separate counties. Since first taking office, Tim has hosted hundreds of town hall and coffee meetings to better understand the thoughts and concerns of the district.
During his first term in the House, Congressman Walberg enjoyed representing Marshall and most of Calhoun County, as a part of Michigan’s former 7th district. Since the beginning of the year, Tim has enjoyed reconnecting with old friends, and cultivating relationships with new friends across Calhoun County. Since the beginning of the year, Tim has held community gatherings, toured various businesses, and met with law enforcement and community leaders across Calhoun to best serve and address the issues that Americans face in southern Michigan.
Congressman Walberg stated, “Marshall is a historically and culturally rich area with a vibrant culture built upon its small businesses. MAEDA has helped promote economic development and facilitate job creation across many sectors and industries. Together, we must continue efforts to limit red-tape and bureaucratic strangleholds placed on our businesses so we can foster a thriving economic environment. Whether it’s broadband deployment to bridge the digital divide, cutting health care costs by utilizing association health plans, or cutting taxes for our small businesses, I remain a partner in making sure our community will continue to thrive.”
Congressman Walberg is proud to bring his reputation as a principled legislator, fiscal reformer, and defender of traditional values to Washington. In the 118th Congress, Walberg serves on the House Energy and Commerce Committee and the House Education and the Workforce Committee. He will answer constituents’ questions and address any concerns regarding policy at the federal level and provide efficient and timely service to constituents in Michigan’s 5th Congressional district.
If constituents wish to share views on the issues that are important, Walberg encourages them to contact his office in Jackson, Michigan at (517) 780-9075 or Washington, DC office at (202) 225-6276 or visit Walberg.house.gov.
