Choose Marshall Chamber Welcomes Consumers Credit Union as a New Chamber Member
The Marshall Area Economic Development Alliance (MAEDA)/Choose Marshall Chamber held a ribbon-cutting ceremony to officially welcome Consumers Credit Union (ConsumersCU) to the Marshall community and as a new chamber member.
Celebrating its 75th anniversary this year, Consumers Credit Union was founded in 1951 in Kalamazoo and originally served Consumers Power Company employees. Today, the credit union serves communities across Michigan and Northern Indiana through more than 30 offices, managing over $2.7 billion in assets. As a member-owned institution, ConsumersCU offers a full suite of personal and business banking solutions.
The new Marshall branch introduces a modern, tech-forward experience, featuring TellerPlus+ technology in both the lobby and drive-thru. Designed for comfort and convenience, the office includes wireless banking stations with Wi-Fi, private spaces for financial consulting, a complimentary coffee bar, and "Root Beer Fridays" during the summer.
“We are thrilled to open our doors in Marshall,” said Scott Sylvester, Consumers Credit Union President and CEO. “Our goal is to become part of the fabric of this community. This branch represents a meaningful investment in Marshall’s financial well-being and future.”
The branch is led by Office Manager Jenny Modert, who expressed her enthusiasm for the new location: “I am excited to make an impact here. Whether it’s improving a member’s financial position with a customized solution, assisting small businesses, or supporting local initiatives, I look forward to helping our Marshall members achieve their goals.”
The Marshall branch is located at 1114 West Michigan Avenue or learn more at consumerscu.org.
