The Marshall Area Economic Development Alliance (MAEDA)/Choose Marshall held a New Chamber Member Ribbon Cutting Presentation to welcome The Knife Cave.

In 2017, Randy Jones purchased the Knife Cave from its previous owner.    He recently moved the business from downtown Marshall to the newly renovated and much larger space in the Redfield Plaza.  Jones passionately stated, “We wanted to keep the business here in Marshall and serve this community that we love!”  Customers will find a wide variety of knives, axes, backpacks, scissors, tactical gear, personal protection items and kitchen cutlery with name brands such as KA-BAR, Tops, Bark River, Chicago Cutlery, Red Rock, and Victorinox.  He also takes special orders.

The store also offers sharpening services for knives and Frag Out Flavor, a line of quality spice blends and BBQ rubs. The Knife Cave of Marshall is the flagship store, but he hopes to open two more stores in Lexington, Kentucky and Hulett, Wyoming.

As a veteran, one of Jones’ missions is to support other veteran-owned businesses and offer outreach and ministry to fellow veterans, first responders and military personnel.  Jones stated, “We shared the same sand, and we share many of the same stories.  I want to offer fellowship and a place to be heard for fellow vets.”  Jones strongly believes in giving back to those who serve.  He added, “Because we are a veteran-owned company, we offer a 10 percent discount to our military, vets, and first responders. Ask about our new VET’s Coffee when you stop in.”

Jones strives to offer top of the line merchandise to his customers. He commented, “We are here to listen to our customers.  If there is something we can incorporate into our business, let us know.  We intend to stay within the guidelines of who we are, but customers are our best educators.”
