Choose Marshall Chamber Welcomes Sweet Peas Children’s Thrift Shop
The Marshall Area Economic Development Alliance (MAEDA)/Choose Marshall held a Ribbon Cutting ceremony to welcome Sweet Peas Children’s Thrift Shop as a new chamber member.
Cindy Smith, the new owner of Sweet Peas, has realized her dream of owning the shop. She has revitalized the store with a refreshing interior and an expanded selection of merchandise. "I am thrilled to offer families access to unique, high-quality children's items at affordable prices and I am very excited to be a part of the downtown Marshall community and the Choose Marshall Chamber."
Sweet Peas specializes in gently used children's clothing, currently ranging in size from preemie to 10/12, with plans to extend up to size 18. The shop also features a variety of baby furniture and equipment, alongside a substantial collection of children's books, toys, games, and essential gear like strollers and highchairs. Sweet Peas also offers maternity clothing for expectant mothers. "Our inventory is constantly evolving, with new treasures arriving regularly." Smith added, "We invite customers to visit often to discover our latest finds."
The shop is currently buying gently used children's items in excellent, stain-free condition. Adding to the community engagement, the shop hosts children's Saturday workshops, featuring fun activities such as slime making, bracelet creation, and kinetic sand art. Smith hopes to add a customer loyalty program soon.
Sweet Peas Children’s Thrift Shop is conveniently located at 121 West Michigan Avenue in downtown Marshall. The store is open Wednesday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM and Saturday from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
