Choose Marshall Chamber Welcomes the First Presbyterian Church of Marshall as a New Chamber Member

The Marshall Area Economic Development Alliance (MAEDA)/Choose Marshall recently held a ribbon cutting ceremony to welcome the First Presbyterian Church of Marshall as a new chamber member. This partnership highlights the church’s commitment to the community.

Founded in 1843, the First Presbyterian Church has a rich history of serving the Marshall community’s spiritual needs. Over the decades, it has been a steadfast presence, evolving with the times, while upholding its core values. Beyond its regular Sunday worship (10am or Facebook live), the church offers adult education classes and various outreach programs designed to foster spiritual growth and community engagement. A new addition to its grounds is a Tranquility Garden designed as a peaceful oasis for reflection and solace for all who visit.

Carol Paul, a church Elder, emphasized the church’s dedication to being a “beacon of hope and community.” She shared, “Embedded in our mission statement is the phrase ‘strive to create a sanctuary for all.’ We are committed to spiritual growth, social justice, and the promotion of grace and peace in our community.” She added, “We are more than just a place of worship; we are a space for connection, learning and service. Our doors are open to everyone, and we are committed to fostering a welcoming and supportive environment.”
