The Marshall Area Economic Development Alliance (MAEDA)/Choose Marshall held a Ribbon Cutting and New Chamber Member Presentation to welcome Longstreet Living, a new furniture and mattress store to Marshall.
Store owners Kevin and Mackenzie Murphy opened Longstreet Living in Marshall in February 2022. It is a family-owned business with another store located in Coldwater. Kevin was raised in Marshall and the couple saw a business opportunity to open a store back in Marshall. The store has 11,000 sq. ft. of showroom space and offers a complete line of furniture for every room in your house including outdoor furniture and mattresses. Kevin commented, “We are recognized as a La-Z-Boy Comfort Studio dealer, offering a large selection of in stock and special-order sofas, sectionals, recliners and furniture in many styles and colors to match any décor.” He added, “We have over 250 pieces of La-Z-Boy in stock and over 1,000 pieces of furniture in our warehouse. We also carry other well-known brands such as King Hickory, Ashley, England, Lane and have access to many others, and we also offer mattresses and adjustable beds by Grand Rapids bedding, all made in Michigan.” Customers who are also looking for rugs will find a wide variety available and even a machine washable brand. Mackenzie stated, “One of our most requested items are lift chairs. We have several different sizes and price ranges in stock. There is no need to look elsewhere.”
