The Marshall Area Economic Development Alliance (MAEDA)/Choose Marshall held a Ribbon Cutting presentation to welcome Maria’s Uncorked, wine tasting room and florist, as a new chamber member.
With a new name and fresh paint, Maria’s Uncorked has opened in downtown Marshall. Maria and David VanArman recently purchased the former Rose’ Florist and Wine Room. They will continue to offer a full-service floral shop creating fresh, inspiring designs and beautiful floral arrangements for all occasions. The wine tasting room will maintain its relationship with Warner Wines. Maria commented, “We will continue to offer a full range of Warner wines from sweet to dry, wine slushies, hard ciders, seltzers, and mulled and sparkling wines. We offer gift cards, Cherry Republic products, and we love to put together awesome gift baskets for all occasions.” David added, “We also hope to bring on a few limited beers from Warner. This will give our customers an added option.” The shop will continue to be part of Marshall’s Social District, which allows customers to purchase a drink served in the appropriate glass and enjoyed outside in the designated area downtown Marshall.
The VanArmans are excited to announce that a license to produce and serve their own wines is in the works. Maria stated, “We have completed the necessary paperwork and are waiting on the State of Michigan to give us the go ahead.” They also plan to swap the layout of the store by moving the wine tasting room to the front and the floral area to the back of the store. The future is exciting for Maria’s Uncorked. Maria announced, “We want to be THE happy place for everyone in our community.”
Maria’s Uncorked is located at 116 E Michigan Ave in downtown Marshall. The florist is open Monday-Friday 9am-6pm and Saturday 10am – 3pm. The wine tasting room is open Monday and Tuesday 9am-6pm, Wednesday and Thursday 9am-8pm and Friday and Saturday 10am – 9pm.
