The Marshall Area Economic Development Alliance (MAEDA)/Choose Marshall held a ribbon cutting to welcome Torti Taco Mexican restaurant to downtown Marshall.
After hoping to open a location in Marshall for several years, Torti Taco owner Javier Fortoso opened his restaurant here on January 30, 2023. The Marshall location is his third. The other two restaurants are in Battle Creek. Fortoso commented, “I’m so happy to be here and open in Marshall, and I’m looking forward to being a part of this very welcoming and wonderful community.”
Customers will notice the freshness and the authentic taste of Mexico in Torti Taco’s menu. Specializing in a wide variety of Mexican food, offerings include enchiladas, burritos, taco salads, fajitas, nachos, quesadillas, tacos, and several vegetarian items. All entrees are prepared from scratch with fresh ingredients and homemade salsas. Many items are created from Fortoso’s family recipes, bringing a special authenticity to the restaurant. Fortoso commented, “We want to provide our customers with authentic Mexican food that will take you to the heart of Mexico without having to leave Marshall.”
