Each year, 40 of the most talented Halloween artists around the country will visit Marshall to show their works of art at the Bewitching Peddlers of Halloween event. These pieces are one of a kind and can be viewed on September 25 at the Calhoun County Fairgrounds beginning at 8am. Prepare to be amazed by these creations leaving you with a magical experience.

September 25 kicks off SkeletonFest where over 30 skeletons, including a T-Rex, will be posed around downtown. To start the season off, a kickoff party will run from 2-5pm in the parking lot on the corner of Michigan Avenue and Hamilton Street. This event will have live music, face painting, balloon animals, a skeleton costume contest and more. Be sure to take a photo with your favorite skeleton and post to Instagram or Facebook using #marshallskeletonfest. Later that evening is the adult Pub ‘N Grub Crawl where you can stroll the streets with a drink in the Social District or visit your favorite establishment for special concoctions. Then, dance the night away with The Fat Animals who will be performing on south Jefferson Street next to Grand River Brewery.

Cornwell’s Turkeyville will have their annual Haunted Adventure each weekend in October. Ride the kid-friendly spooky train or walk through the haunted barn. There also will be homemade fall favorites and a pumpkin patch.

Bosserd’s Family Farm will be hosting their Fall Festival that includes a corn box, obstacle course, pumpkin patch and multiple mazes. There also is a farm stand with fresh produce and farm raised beef.

Decorate for the season by making a Fall Porch Pot at OERTHER’S on October 2, 11am-noon. There will be a selection of pansies, mums and other seasonal annuals.

The American Museum of Magic will have silly, spooky magic October 16 from 10am-4pm. Hop from station to station inside the museum. A magic show will take place at noon by Wanda the Wacky Witch. Costumes welcome! Then on October 16 and 30, learn about the more frightful side of magic by attending the Haunted History of Magic Tours.

On October 14, grab the ladies and head downtown Marshall for Girls’ Night Out – Zombie Invasion which starts at 5pm. This themed event will offer snacks, sips, and sales just in time for Halloween.

Cornwell’s Turkeyville will host a Lotions and Potions class where you can make bath salts, lotions and a perfume roller. This event will be held October 16 and tickets are limited. Reserve yours soon.

Wrapping up the season is the Annual Firefighters Halloween Parade down Michigan Avenue on October 30 starting at 11am. Stores will be on the sidewalks passing out candy to all the ghosts and goblins. Wear you costume and bring your bag for a fun and delicious time.

Trick-or-Treating for the Marshall area will be October 31 with a suggested time of 5:30-7:30pm.
