Food Based Business Workshop on March 10

John Schmitt from the Small Business Development Center (SBDC) and original owner of Food Dance restaurant in Kalamazoo, will explore issues that effect a restaurant’s success in this workshop.

Discover what it takes to run a successful and profitable restaurant from establishing your restaurant’s service culture to monitoring your cash flow.

Topics to be covered include the science of creating a menu and how the consumer mind makes choices, how inventory levels can affect your prime costs and techniques to handle customer complaints. New trends in the restaurant business will be discussed as well.

Marshall Area Economic Development Alliance (MAEDA) invites the public, existing restaurants and those planning to start a restaurant or food-based business to this informative presentation on March 10 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Marshall Welcome Center, 323 W. Michigan Ave.
