Grand Marshal Announced

Choose Marshall is thrilled to announce Patty Parker as the Grand Marshal of the 2024 60th Annual Christmas Parade.

Patty is a lifelong resident of Marshall and has been an active community member, dedicating her time and efforts to several nonprofit organizations, including the Southwest Michigan Food Bank, the American Museum of Magic, the Governor’s Mansion Museum, the Marshall Area Farmers Market, the Mary Marshall Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR), and most recently, the United Way, where she served as the Executive Director.

At the Governor’s Mansion, Patty gives tours and teaches every visitor about Marshall’s history. She also teaches children how to make butter at the Honolulu House during Education Days. She is invaluable at the DAR, keeping everything running smoothly and writing grants to help with expenses. She is humble and quiet about all she does. She is kind and generous and gives a new meaning to the art of giving – never, ever, to expect anything in return.

This year’s 60th anniversary parade theme, “Sparkling Splendor: Our Diamond Anniversary Christmas,” perfectly aligns with Patty’s sparkling personality, warmth, and generosity.

Choose Marshall invites everyone to join in celebrating Patty Parker at the kick-off for the 2024 holiday season at the Marshall Christmas Parade, which will take place on Monday, December 2nd at 7pm in downtown Marshall.
