Marshall Area Economic Development Alliance, Choose Marshall, recently held a ribbon-cutting and new chamber member ceremony for Housley Peters Law Office. Diane (Housley) Peters has been an estate planning attorney in Calhoun County for 25 years.  She has had several offices during that time, and most recently took advantage of the downtime in March and April to move Housley Peters Law Office to a new location at 905 West Michigan Avenue, Marshall, between Ron Lapland’s Farm Bureau office and Mike Darling’s ACE Hardware.

Diane is enjoying her return to Marshall very much. “I’m so happy to be back in Marshall and active again as a Choose Marshall Chamber Ambassador. I don’t know if it’s the new location or just the times we’re living in, but I’ve been very busy,” she said.  Diane prepares documents for her clients to help achieve two goals: first, to plan who will have authority to assist clients with their personal business and decision making if that becomes necessary in the future, and second, to ensure where a client’s assets will go after they pass away. She also assists families with Probate Administration and Trust Administration after a loved one dies. Diane’s motto is “Just because you can’t take it with you is no excuse to leave it in such a mess” and that is what she hopes clients will embrace.  “It’s never too soon or too late to be prepared,” she adds.
