Major Campus Construction Update Second Phase Of Tree Removal
This phase of tree removal will be happening along Verona Road, 11 Mile Road and 15 Mile Road. Removed trees will be chipped and recycled back to the local community. The Marshall Area Economic Development Alliance plans to replant within greenspace areas to mitigate trees being removed.
The removal, which will continue through Friday, April 12, will occur in preparation for new water supply infrastructure to benefit the community and support the Marshall Area Jobs, Opportunities, and Recreation (MAJOR) Campus.
An overview of the work area is shown below — along with timeframes and enhanced views of the work areas. The tree removal is being completed during the winter months, which come with potential for inclement weather and ground freeze. In the interest of worker safety and ground damage minimization, these dates are approximate.
