March into spring

March into spring with a relaxing Spa Night, History Happy Hour and St. Patrick’s Day!

After a long winter, it’s finally time to get out and pamper yourself. The theme for the March 12 Girls Night Out is “Spa Night.” Pick up a special tote for only $10 and fill it with spa treats from your favorite downtown Marshall shops. Many stores also will be offering refreshments. Totes are limited and sold on a first-come basis.

Take a walk down memory lane at the Governor’s Mansion during History Happy Hour on March 13. Network with other history buffs and learn about Marshall’s rich and fascinating past. Snacks will be provided; bring your own beverage. Starts at 5pm.

St. Patrick’s Day falls on a Tuesday this year and many restaurants are cooking up traditional Irish fare. If you’re looking to celebrate early, many events are happening March 14. Grand River Brewery will host an all-day celebration, “Kegs and Eggs,” with live entertainment and the release of its latest brew. Looking for a fun experience with friends? Hop aboard the Marshall Trolley for a Beer Tasting Tour including visits and tastings at four breweries. Hotel discounts are also available; tickets go on sale March 4. Later that night, SandHill will throw a St. Patty’s Day Bash with live music and specials starting at 7:30pm.

On March 21, enjoy the great outdoors and contribute to a great cause by participating in Pastrami Joe’s 7th Annual Reuben Race. This 5 or 10k through historic Marshall supports the Fountain Clinic which provides medical and dental care to uninsured and under-insured Calhoun County residents.

Experience another unique event on the Marshall Trolley March 28. A custom Art Tour will take riders to various locations throughout Calhoun County and end with a hands-on activity. Tickets will be available soon—check out the “Trolley” page at choosemarshall.com and take advantage of this one-of-a-kind event.

Refresh your home and garden with décor from the Spring Arts & Crafts Show March 28 at Marshall High School. Juried crafters offer unique items just in time for wedding season or to treat yourself!

In addition to the custom tours mentioned above, the Marshall Trolley Company offers complimentary rides to the public from 5pm to 11pm every Friday and Saturday night. Eight stops are on a rotating loop. Enjoy a convenient, worry-free night on the town!
