Choose Marshall Chamber welcomes Marshall Hardware
The Choose Marshall Chamber recently held a New Chamber Member presentation for Marshall Hardware, located at 139 West Michigan Avenue, Marshall.
Owners Mark Walker and Lori Zettell purchased the existing downtown business in July 2021 and have returned the name of the store to the original “Marshall Hardware.” “There is so much history in this building,” said Walker. “We’re having fun learning about past businesses that operated here and are finding all kinds of artifacts—even an old Marshall Hardware sign.”
While customers can expect much of the standard inventory, wider aisles and product reorganization allow for easier access and visibility. Hard-to-find items are still in stock, like guitar strings, reeds, and other accessories for instruments, manufactured by GHS Strings in Battle Creek. Walker and Zettell also plan to expand offerings to more outdoor furniture and accessories and possibly outdoor clothing.
“We look forward to carrying on a downtown tradition with contemporary updates,” stated Zettell. “We appreciate the support the Chamber has given our other downtown businesses and look forward to participating in Chamber events with Marshall Hardware, too. We’re even thinking of ways we can participate in the success of the Marshall Social District,” added Walker.
