Marshall: The Summer of 2020
Reimagining engagement and entertainment!
Reimagining engagement and entertainment!
Marshall businesses, as part of the Governor’s phased reopening plan, have begun to open and are taking every precaution to ensure safety, health and peace of mind for community members and visitors alike. Not sure if your favorite place is open? Call or check out their Facebook page. Many businesses have developed creative ways to continue providing their products and services to customers. In fact, there are several additional ideas being tossed around that we think you’ll like. More details to come!
In addition to being able to shop and dine in-person again, Marshall continues to encourage people to get outside for recreation. Golfing, camping and kayaking are just a few favorites that provide the perfect getaway and a good dose of relaxation.
Although events may look a bit different this year, there are still many opportunities to engage and make memories. For instance, Choose Marshall is partnering with The Youngish Professionals and Dark Horse Brewing Company for Virtual Fridays at the Fountain. Start the weekend with take-out from a local restaurant and enjoy artists performing live on Facebook several Fridays throughout the summer. Want to make it even more memorable? Set up the projector outside and stream it live–make s’mores while you’re at it!
Visit Cornwell’s Turkeyville July 10-12 for the 4th Annual Tractor and Machinery Show, featuring vintage tractors and equipment, demonstrations and a parade. Another favorite is the annual Cruise at the Fountain classic car show. Although the date has changed, the fun remains! This year, the event takes place September 3-4 and will include a swap meet, poker run, live music and more.
Not ready to venture out just yet? No problem. Many stores and restaurants offer online ordering, curbside pickup, shipping and delivery. Marshall also is working to make this experience even more convenient with the online marketplace eatshopmarshall.com. New shops and eateries are added every day so check back often!
