Midwest Crafting Shop Hop

When you step into paper & i of Marshall, you enter a world of color and warmth. Soft yellow walls filled with whimsical signs, a display of green knitted succulents, blue etched Michigan glasses, rainbows of greeting cards and stationery sets, and, of course, racks of paper, both solid color and patterned, greet everyone who comes through the door.

Since 2013, the independent brick-and-mortar business has been home to two delightful halves. At the front of the store you’ll find gifts, must-haves, and didn’t-know-you-neededs, often made by local Michigan creators or small makers. The back half of the store is dedicated to paper crafting. Shoppers can find stamps, dies, glitters, stickers, markers, and paints, to name just a few. In fact, it’s this niche offering that brings scrapbookers, card makers, and other paper crafting artists to the store from across the midwest and beyond.

That’s why paper & i has partnered together with twelve other midwest paper crafting stores to create the Midwest Paper Crafting Shop Hop this May 2022. Store owner Audrey Hoffman says the shop hop is “a great chance for everyone to expand their crafting community and share ideas.”

Participation is as easy as hitting the road. From May 4 through May 24, 2022, shoppers can pick up a passport at any of the participating stores. Each store will offer different deals, along with an exclusive take and make card. paper & i will have a special prize for the first 100 shoppers, plus product demos, treats, specials, and a photo booth.

Participants collect stamps on their passports from each stop along the way. Seven or more stops gives them an entry for grand prizes from popular craft companies, including Lawn Fawn, 3L Scrapbook Adhesives, and Altenew, as well as prizes from midwest crafting retreat houses and artists. Shoppers who visit fewer than seven stops can still submit their passports to be entered in the lucky drawing for other fabulous prizes!
