New Owners of Pawfitters Receive Warm MAEDA Welcome

Marshall Area Economic Development Alliance and Chamber (MAEDA) congratulated the new owners of Pawfitters with a ribbon cutting presentation on July 10.

Pictured from left are Patty Williams, Franke Center for the Arts and MAEDA board member; Mike Lounds, owner of Pawfitters; Jess Lounds, owner of Pawfitters; Mila the dog; Amy Crisp, MAEDA; Jane Reid, MAEDA; and Holly Irish, Beron’s Tree Service.

Mike and Jess Lounds, owners of the Bogar Theatre and TrailBlazers, recently purchased Pawfitters pet boutique. They will provide the same excellent, dog-focused service and products but have added fun-filled selections for both dogs and dog owners.

Customers are greeted with a mini dog bakery and deli filled with a whimsical and mouth-watering selection of dog cookies and chews as well as cake and ice cream mixes. The wide variety of bulk treats and chews compliment the packaged treats and foods still available. “We are sensitive to providing products that are highly digestible and natural,” stated Mike. “products such as cow ears, chicken feet and duck heads will be available to appeal to a natural habitat diet.” Future additions include installation of a freezer to stock raw, single and limited ingredient dog foods.

Pawfitters will continue to carry accessories for dogs to include collars, leashes, beds and toys, but will be enhanced with such items as toys for aggressive chewers and CBD oils, edibles and topicals to treat dogs having joint pain and anxiety. T-shirts, mugs and signs are also available for dog-lovers and owners.
