St. Patrick’s Day is Here!

Wherever you go, whatever you do, may the luck of the Irish be there with you!

I hope you’re wearing something green otherwise, I give permission for your housemates to pinch you (it’s in the rules). 😊

For those of you looking to start the day off right, here’s a tasty Irish coffee recipe (non-alcoholic).
For those of us getting ready to tackle hungry kids and homeschooling, try these shamrock pancakes.

Do you know someone who could use some cheering up? Send them a green bouquet from The Harvester Flower Shop or Rose Florist and Wine Room

Next, if the weather is cooperating head outside and scour the yard for four-leaf clovers. Be sure to press them in a book for good luck. If the weather is not ideal, here are a few inside activities:
Shamrock Sun Catchers
Green Crinkle Cookies

After working hard all day, it’s time for dinner. The great thing about the holidays is that others will do the cooking for you. Restaurants are creating Irish fare and are ready to serve you. Here are a few of our favorites:
Broadway Grille
Copper Athletic Club
Cornwell’s Turkeyville
Dark Horse Brewing Co.
Free Range
Grand River Brewery
Mike Place
Outside the Box
Pastrami Joe’s
SandHill Restaurant
Schuler’s Restaurant
Stagecoach Inn

Finally, time to turn on some Irish music, throw a few drops of green food coloring in your beer or clear soda (sure, you can throw some in your whiskey, too), and relax. In about 60-90 minutes, dance the Irish jig because, why not.

I hope you had a fun day with us and look forward to many more adventures together– cheers!
