Wolf Tree Film Festival Submissions

WOLF TREE FILM FESTIVAL ACCEPTING SUBMISSIONS STARTING OCTOBER 1.

The Wolf Tree Film Festival is set for January 22, 2022 at 7:00pm ET at the Franke Center for the Arts.  In its 4th year, the festival will once again showcase short films set in the Great Lakes region or that include themes or topics related to the region, as well as the work of filmmakers who reside in or grew up in the Great Lakes region.

This year’s event will include screenings of each selected film, an industry expert emcee, a meet and greet with the filmmakers and an awards presentation.  Selected films will include a variety of genres, including comedy, drama, documentary and others.

According to Jennifer Conley Darling, one of the festivals coordinators, “Each year we continue to see a growth in the number of films submitted and the level of talent.  We’re thrilled to be able to showcase these films here in Marshall and introduce filmmakers from various places to our town. Previous filmmakers have come from as far as California, the United Kingdom, and Toronto.  It’s also been a great way for local filmmakers to showcase their work as well and network with others in the industry.”

Submissions can be submitted via FilmFreeway starting on October 1st at https://filmfreeway.com/WolfTreeFilmFestival.  Deadline for the submissions is December 12th, 2021.  Ticket information for the event can be found on The Franke Center’s website at  https://thefranke.org/events.
