New Story Community Books is Calhoun County’s Independent Bookstore. We are a Women Owned, local, Social Enterprise. We define Social Enterprise as prioritizing social goals alongside financial returns. For us this means we reinvest the majority of the money we make back into our community. Our core mission is to increase literacy rates in Calhoun County. We recognize we are far from the only organization working on this issue, so we seek to be a good partner with educators to help get kids excited about reading and to empower them to be lifelong readers. We are constantly seeking new and innovative ways to connect people with books and help them discover new stories.
