Marshall District Library is excited to coordinate Marshall’s first Author Hop. What is an author hop? Take a turn around town visiting local businesses & meet & greet area authors along the circuit. Strike up a conversation with authors about your preferred genre or venture into new literary subjects.

Take the afternoon to explore the Marshall area, discover new authors & grow your book collection. Start at the library with the Used Books Sale (free tote bag with purchase) & pick up a printed map of the hop!

A full day of literary events in Historic Marshall!

9 - 10:30 am Publishing Roundtable at the library with indie authors & publishing agent Carrie Howland hosted by The Franke Center. Cost & registration at thefranke.org

10 am - 5:30 pm Used Book Sale at the library....FRIDAY & SATURDAY!

Get a tote to carry throughout the Hop with your donation.

5 - 6 pm Interview with author Rebecca Lehmann located at Great Escape Stage Co. followed by book sale/signing.

Rebecca Lehmann is an award-winning poet & essayist. She has an MFA in poetry from the Iowa Writers’ Workshop, where she was a Maytag Fellow. She is the author of three collections of poetry: Between the Crackups, Ringer, & The Sweating Sickness. Lehmann joins us to discuss the release of her first novel, The Beheading Game, a Penguin Random House publication. She lives in Indiana with her family, where she is an associate professor of English & Gender & Women’s Studies at Saint Mary’s College.
