The location has served it well as Marshall boasts a mercantile history dating back to 1830 when fur trading was its main economic driver. Today, manufacturers like Tenneco, Marshall Excelsior and Borg Warner take advantage of a highly skilled workforce and the award-winning Marshall Public Schools. Visitors enjoy touring the city’s many restored sites within one of the nation’s largest historic landmark districts.
