When is the water on in the Brooks Memorial Fountain?
The water show occurs from May to early October. There is no specific date for when it turns on and off for the season, that date is determined by weather conditions.
The light show runs all year long, even during the winter! On some special days the fountain will stay one specific color and not display the normal show.
Where can I find public restrooms?
There are two sets of public restrooms in the City Hall building, at 323 West Michigan Avenue. One set is accessed directly from the parking lot/front of the building, These are unlocked (no code necessary to open) from 7am to 9pm daily.
The other set is available when City Hall is open, usually Monday through Friday from 8am to 5pm (only until noon on Fridays during the summer and closed on Federal holidays). This set is located on the second floor, turn left at the top of the stairs and go down the hallway.
How much does it cost to park in Marshall?
Parking in Marshall is free. Overnight parking requires a special pass that can be obtained at City Hall.
Where can I find maps and brochures?
The Marshall Welcome Center located at 323 West Michigan Avenue has a large assortment of FREE maps and brochures, as well as suggestions for your visit.
Printed items can also be found at various kiosks: located mid-block downtown, on the north and south sides of Michigan Avenue under the information kiosks; in front of City Hall along the sidewalk on fountain circle and in front of the Welcome Center door; and at the SE corner of Jefferson/Michigan Ave.
Many stores and all hotels have an assortment of brochures and maps. They can also be mailed to you by filling out THIS LINK.
Where can I fax?
Family Fare supermarket, Hampton Inn, and Love’s Truck Stop. Many banks will also send faxes.
Where can I get something notarized?
Notaries can be found at banks and lawyer offices. They can also be found at the Marshall District Library and Marshall City Hall. Fees may apply.
Where do I get birth certificates, death certificates, or county licenses?
The Calhoun County Building is located at 315 East Green Street in Marshall. Contact them at 269-781-0700.
Where is the police department located?
The Marshall Regional Law Enforcement Center (MRLEC) is located at 714 North Old US 27, Marshall, south of the Denny's restaurant (same side of the road) across from Crossroads Church.
For non-emergency police services in the City of Marshall call 269-781-0911 (Calhoun County Consolidated Dispatch) to request an officer. For administrative questions or to reach the police clerk directly during business hours, call 269-781-2596 (Mon-Fri, 9 am - 2 pm). Always call 911 for emergencies.

Where do I purchase Dial-A-Ride tokens?
Dial-A-Ride tokens may be purchased in the Utility Payments office located within City Hall at 323 West Michigan Avenue. City Hall is open Monday through Friday from 8am to 5pm (only until noon on Fridays during the summer and closed on Federal holidays).
Where do I pay city utilities?
Utilities (electric, sewer, water) and taxes may be paid at Marshall City Hall located at 323 West Michigan Avenue. There is also a locked drop box located on the east side of the Marshall City Hall parking lot where payments can be securely dropped at any time.
Where do I register to vote for the City of Marshall?
Voter registration takes place in the Marshall City Clerk’s office, located on the second floor of Marshall City Hall, 323 West Michigan Avenue. An elevator is located in the main lobby, if needed. City Hall is open Monday through Friday from 8am to 5pm (only until noon on Fridays during the summer and closed on Federal holidays).
